The legend

The last day of August approached quickly, and Bunce thought it best to say hello to Tom, the bar owner, and pay the bill. So he went down to the sitting room, where Tom was wiping the glasses.

"Hello, Tom."

"Hello, Mr. Foley."

"I'm going to school tomorrow-the train at King's Cross, you know, so I wanted to settle the bill.”Bance said.

"Okay, please wait." Tom took out a book and flipped through it." There are 36 Sickles in total. Three Sickles a day. You'll be here for 12 days. You'll be considered two Galleons.”Tom opened his toothless mouth and smiled.

"Then please help me prepare breakfast tomorrow morning. Thank you.”Bangs said as he paid.

"No problem. What do you want to eat today? Fruit salad or mashed potatoes?”Tom asked as he kept the money.

"A little of everything." Bangs said as he walked back to his room.

The next day, Bangs woke up early in the morning. She was excited and nervous. If she guessed correctly, she would be able to see the bespectacled man today. He got up from the bed and put on his clothes. He checked his Hogwarts shopping list again to make sure he had everything he needed, then went downstairs to eat. An hour later, with the help of the taxi driver, Bangs put the heavy suitcase on the trolley. Bangs looked at the clock on the wall. It was 10:15. Bunce knew that Harry would appear between platforms nine and ten at about ten-thirty, looking for his way in, so he waited against the wall.

Suddenly, a black-haired boy appeared in front of him. The confusion and bewilderment on his face were so distinct. Bang Si pushed the cart over.

"Are you looking for the way to platform nine and three-quarters?”asked Bangs.

"And you are? Yes, the thing is-the thing is I don't know how to-"

"How do I get to the platform?" Bunce added, and Harry nodded.

"Follow me, it's at the ticket gate between platforms nine and ten. Don't stop, don't be afraid, just keep going straight in.”Bangs led the way.

Once through, Bunce looked back and saw Harry trotting after him.

A dark red steam locomotive was parked beside a platform packed with passengers. The sign on the train read: Hogwarts Express, eleven o'clock. Bunce and Harry walked side by side through the chattering crowd, cats of all colors weaving through their feet. Over the buzzing of the crowd and the clamor of dragging heavy luggage, owls hooted shrilly and answered each other.

The first few carriages were already packed with sketches. Some of them leaned out of the windows to talk to their families, while others were playing in their seats. Bunce and Harry were pushing their carts along the platform side by side, looking for an empty seat. As they passed, a round-faced boy said,"Granny, I've lost my toad again.”

"Well, Neville," They heard an old woman sigh.

A boy with long hair was surrounded by some children.

"Let's see it, Ali.”

The child opened the box he was holding, revealing a long, furry leg. The children around him were so scared that they screamed and retreated.

Bunce pushed his way through the crowd and found that Harry was not following him; She didn't care about him anymore. Anyway, there were plenty of opportunities in school. He found an empty compartment near the back of the car. After all the luggage had been carried up, Bunce found a more comfortable seat and sat down. A moment later, he saw Harry come in, panting. Without waiting for the other party to speak, he entered the car and started the engine. Bangs saw countless parents waving their hands outside the window, and houses flashed past the window.

The sliding door of the cubicle opened, and a child with fiery red hair walked in.

"Are there still seats here?" he asked, pointing at Harry and Bunce. "The other places are full."

Harry looked at Bunce and nodded. The boy sat down, glanced at Bunce and Harry, then turned his eyes out of the window as if nothing had happened, and Bunce noticed something dirty on the tip of his nose.

"Hey, Ron,"

A pair of twin brothers also came.

"Listen, we're going to go for a walk in the middle compartment now-Lee Jordan's got a really big tarantula.”

"Oh." Ron grunted.

"Are they your brothers?" Bangs asked as he watched the twins leave.

Ron nodded.

"What about you? With eyes." Bangs said.

"Harry, Harry Potter," said Harry sheepishly.

"Are you really Harry Potter?”Ron blurted.

Then he pointed at Harry's forehead.

Harry swept away a strand of hair from his forehead, revealing a lightning-shaped scar. Ron's eyes widened.

"This is what You-Know-Who did."

"Yes," said Harry,"but I don't remember.”

"You don't remember at all?" said Ron eagerly.

"How rude of you, Ron," Bunce interrupted Ron.

"Aiya, sorry." said Ron. He sat there staring at Harry for a long time before realizing what he was doing and quickly looked out of the window.

"What's your name? Thank you for bringing me to platform nine and three-quarters.”asked Harry.

"Bunce Foley, orphan." Bangsi replied.

Seeing that Bunce did not want to say anything more, Harry asked Ron,"Are your whole family wizards?"

"Oh yes, I suppose so.”said Ron."I think my mum's got a distant cousin who's an accountant, but we never talk about him.”

"So you must have learned a lot of magic?”

"I heard you ended up living with Muggles.”said Ron."How are they?"

"Too bad. Of course, not everyone is like this. However, my uncle, aunt, and cousin are too bad. I wish I had three wizard brothers.”

"Five." said Ron, who looked a little unhappy for some reason. "I'm the sixth in my family to go to Hogwarts. You could say that I should follow their example. Bill and Charlie had already graduated. Bill was the Head Boy, and Charlie was Captain of the Quidditch team. Now that Percy was a prefect, Fred and George, for all their mischief, were doing very well. Everyone thought they were very interesting and hoped that I could be like them. But then again, if I could do it, it wouldn't be so great, because they had done it before me. If you had five brothers, you would never need anything new. I wore Bill's old robes and Charlie's old wand, and Percy's discarded rat.”

said Ron, reaching into his inside pocket and pulling out a fat gray rat, which was sleeping.

"It's called Scabbers, it's useless now, it's been sleeping all day. Percy became a prefect and my dad gave him an owl they couldn't afford-I mean, they gave me the rat.”

Ron's ears went red. He seemed to feel that he was talking too much, so he started looking out the window again.

"Can you show me the mouse?" asked Bangs.

"Of course, it's useless.”said Ron, handing the rat to Bunce.

"That's because you didn't notice." Bangs said as he carefully looked at the mouse in his hand.

Don't you have a pet?" Ron suddenly asked.

"No, I haven't. I'm even poorer than your family. My school fees are all paid for by the school.”said Bunce, handing the rat back to Ron.

This seemed to cheer Ron up.

"I didn't know anything about wizards or my parents or Voldemort until Hagrid told me-"

Ron gasped.

"What's wrong?" said Harry.

"You called out You-Know-Who's name!”said Ron, looking both shocked and excited. "I knew you were one of them-"

"What's with the fuss, Voldemort?”Bangs said disdainfully.

Now Harry and Ron both looked at him in surprise. Ron said,"That's You-Know-Who.”

"What do you mean mysterious? Nonsense, he's just a dark Magus. You are too afraid." Bangsi said.

As they talked, the train had left London. They were galloping along the fields of cattle and sheep. They were silent for a moment at Bunce's words, watching fields and pastures pass before them.

At about half-past twelve, there was a loud clatter in the corridor, and a smiling, dimpled woman pushed open the cubicle door and asked,"Honey, do you want to buy some food from the car?”

Harry, who had not eaten anything in the morning, jumped to his feet, and Ron, whose ears were red again, muttered that he had brought sandwiches. Seeing that Bance had no money to buy anything, he asked,""Do you want some?"

"No need. There's good food later. Harry's got a lot of money." Bangs said with a smile.

Ron watched as Harry carried the groceries into the compartment and threw them onto the empty seats. "How do you know he's so rich?”said Ron, looking around.

"I guessed it. Throw away the sandwich. Harry had bought a lot better than a beef sandwich.”Bangs picked up a piece of pumpkin pie and said without hesitation.

"He's right. Come on, have a cake.”said Harry. Before this, he had never given anything to anyone. In fact, no one had shared it with him. Harry felt great now, sitting with Ron and Bunce, munching on his own food and talking.

"What is this?" Harry asked Ron, picking up a handful of Chocolate Frogs.”He was beginning to think that nothing could surprise Ron now.

"No," said Ron."Look at the pictures in there. I'm missing one of Angelica.”

"What?"

"Oh, of course you wouldn't know, Chocolate Frogs come with pictures, you know, you can collect them, famous witches and wizards, I've got about five hundred of them, just short of Angelica and Botolemy.”

Harry opened the Chocolate Frog and took out the picture. It was the face of a man with half-moon glasses, a long crooked nose, and flowing silver hair and beard. Underneath the picture was the name Albus Dumbledore.

"Oh, Dumbledore!" said Harry.

"Don't tell me you've never heard of Dumbledore!”said Ron. Maybe I'll get Angelica-thanks-"

Harry turned the picture over and read the words on the back:

Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts

acknowledged as the greatest wizard of our time.

Dumbledore's well-known contributions included:

Defeated Grindelwald the Dark wizard in 1945,

He discovered twelve uses for dragon blood.

With his partner, Nicolas Flamel, in alchemy

Fruitful, Professor Dumbledore loves chamber music

And ten pillars rolling wooden ball game.

"Are you done? Harry, how about giving me Dumbledore's?”Bangs suggested.

"En, alright, you can have it." Harry looked at the picture one last time and found that Dumbledore's face was gone.

"He's gone!"

"Of course you can't want him here all day.”said Ron. However, I got another Mojiana. I already have six of her pictures. Who wants it?"

"Give it to Harry, I'm not interested in anyone else.”Bang Si refused.

Ron was staring at a pile of unopened Chocolate Frogs.

"Take it yourself." said Harry."But you know, in the Muggle world, once people are photographed, they stay in the picture forever.”

"Is that so? What, are they not moving?”Ron looked very surprised. "It's too amazing!"

Harry flipped through the other pictures. Ron was clearly more interested in eating Chocolate Frogs than in seeing famous witches and wizards, and Bunce was only interested in Dumbledore's pictures. He opened a bag of Bee-bee's Every Taste Beans.

"You'd better be careful with that," Ron warned Harry."When they say it's multi-flavored, you know, they mean it's all there, and it's not just chocolate, mint, marmalade and all that stuff, but also spinach, liver, and tripe. said George, who had once eaten a bean that tasted like dried cow.”

Ron picked up a green bean, examined it, and bit into it.

"Aiyaya, do you understand now? Bean."

Harry and Ron had a good time with the bag of all-flavored beans, but Bunce refused to try it.

The fields that were now flying past the window looked even more desolate, and the neat farmlands had disappeared. What followed was a forest, a winding river, and dark green hills.

Someone knocked on their cubicle door again. The round-faced boy who had brushed past Bunce and Harry on platform nine and three-quarters walked in, his face full of tears.

"Excuse me," he said."I wanted to ask, have you seen my toad?”

Everyone shook their heads and he burst into tears. "I lost it again! It keeps trying to run away from me!"

"It will come back." said Harry.

"Stop crying. Don't you feel ashamed?”asked Bangs.

" Yes." The child wiped his tears and said,""Well, if you see"

He left.

"I don't understand why he's so anxious.”said Ron."If I'd bought a toad, I'd try to get rid of it as soon as possible. But since I've brought Scabbers, I have nothing to say.”

The rat was still sleeping on Ron's leg.

"It might have died a long time ago.”said Ron irritably."I tried turning it yellow yesterday, to make it more fun, but my spells didn't work. I'll show you now. Pay attention."

He fumbled around in the trunk and pulled out a very old wand, peeled off in places and gleaming white at the end.

"The unicorn's fur is almost showing. However,"

He had just raised his wand when the compartment door swung open again. The boy who had thrown the toad came to them again, only this time with a little girl. She had changed into her new Hogwarts robes.

"Have any of you seen a toad? Neville's lost a toad." she said, sounding arrogant and condescending. She had thick brown hair and large front teeth.

"We've already told him that we didn't see him.”said Ron, but the little girl paid him no heed, only stared at the wand in his hand.

"Oh, are you doing magic? Then let us open our eyes."

She sat down casually. Ron was visibly taken aback and confused.

"Oh-all right,"

He cleared his throat.

Daisies, sweet milk and sunshine,

Turn this stupid fat rat yellow.

He waved his wand, but nothing happened. Scabbers was still gray and fast asleep.

"Are you sure this is really a spell?”the little girl asked. "It doesn't look good, does it? I've tried a few simple spells at home, just to keep in touch, and they've all worked. No one in my family knew magic, so I was very surprised and very happy when I received my acceptance letter. Because, I mean, as far as I know, this is the best school for wizardry-I've memorized all the books, of course, I just hope it's usable-my name is Hermione Granger, and by the way, what are your names?”

She said in one breath.

"I'm Ron Weasley. "muttered Ron.

"Bunce Foley," Bangs said with a smile.

"Harry Potter," said Harry.

"Is it really you?" asked Hermione. "I know all about you, of course-I bought a few extra reference books, A Modern History of Magic, The Rise and Fall of the Dark Arts, Important Magical Incidents of the Twentieth-Century, all of which mention you.”

"Mentioning me?" said Harry, baffled.

"Oh my god, how could you not know? If it were me, I would find a way to find all the books that mentioned me.”said Hermione."Do you have any idea what House you're going to be in? I've asked around, I'm hoping to get into Gryffindor, they say it's the best, I heard Dumbledore graduated there himself, but I don't think Ravenclaw's all that bad anyway, we'd better start looking for Neville's toad. You'd better get changed, we'll probably be here soon, you know.”

So she took the boy who had thrown the toad with her.

"No matter which academy I'm assigned to, I don't want to be assigned to the same academy as her.”said Ron.

"It's hard to say." Bangs said something that no one understood.

Ron threw his wand into his trunk and said,"The spell won't work, George told me. I bet he knew it was a blind shot.”

"Which academy are your two brothers in?”asked Harry.

"Gryffindor," said Ron, who looked unhappy again. "Mommy and Daddy used to go to this academy too. If I didn't go to that academy, I don't know what they would say. I don't think Ravenclaw is particularly bad, but think about it, don't put me in Slytherin.”

"Is that the V-sorry, I mean, You-Know-Who's been there?”

"Not bad." said Ron, slumping back into his seat, looking dispirited.

"You've got quite the mood swings, Ron.”Bance said.

"You see, I think the tip of Scabbers 'beard has faded.”said Harry, trying to divert Ron's attention from the House. "Since your two brothers have graduated, what are they doing now?”

Harry wanted to know what wizards would do after school.

"Charlie's in Romania studying dragons, Bill's in Africa working for Gringotts.”said Ron. "Have you heard about Gringotts? It's all over the Daily Prophet, but you live with Muggles, so I don't think you'll be reading it-there's been an attempt to rob a heavily guarded vault.”

Harry stared.

"Really? What happened after that?"

"Nothing happened. That's why there's such a big news. They were not caught. My father says it's clear that only the most powerful Dark wizard will be able to escape Gringotts. However, they did not take anything. That was the strange thing. Of course, whenever such things happened, everyone was in danger. People were worried that there was a mysterious person behind the scenes.”

"Don't think too much. Face reality, you're just freshmen who haven't even reached the first grade.”Bance said.

"Then, what about you?" asked Ron.

"I'm different from you. I don't have emotional fluctuations as easily as you do.”Bangs replied calmly.

Ron, seeing that he could not win the argument, changed the subject and asked,"Which Quidditch team do you like?”

"I'm not interested in that." Bance said lightly.

"What?!" Ron looked stunned. "This is the best entertainment in the world.”Then he went on to explain the four balls, the positions of the seven players, the famous games he had gone to with his brothers, and how he would buy a broomstick he liked when he had money. As he reached the climax of the match, the compartment door opened again, but this time it was not Neville, the boy who had lost his toad, or Hermione Granger.

Three boys came in. The pale-faced boy said,"Is it true? The whole train was talking about Harry Potter in this compartment. So, it's you, right?”

"Yes." said Harry, looking at the other two boys, both short and ugly, standing on either side of the gigolo, one on each side, like a pair of bodyguards.

"Oh, this is Crabbe and this is Goyle.”The pale-faced boy, noticing that Harry was watching them, said casually,"My name is Malfoy, Draco Malfoy.”

Ron cleared his throat to stop himself from laughing. Draco Malfoy looked at him.

"You think my name is ridiculous, don't you? I don't need to ask who you are. My father told me the Weasleys were all red-haired, freckled, and had more children than they could afford.”

He turned to Harry."You'll soon find that some wizarding families are much better than others, Potter. Don't tell me you want to make friends with someone else. I can help you with this."

He reached out to shake Harry's hand, but Harry did not answer.

"I think I can tell who's different, thanks.”he said coldly.

Draco Malfoy's face did not turn red, but a faint flush appeared on his pale face.

"If I were you, Potter, I'd be extra careful.”he said slowly. "You should be more polite, or else you will walk the same path as your parents. They didn't know what was good for them. You'll be affected if you hang around with shady people like the Weasleys or Hagrid.”

Harry and Ron jumped to their feet. Ron was as red as his hair.

"Say it again." he said.

"Oh, you want to fight, don't you?”sneered Malfoy.

"Unless you get out now.”said Harry.

"But we don't have any intention of leaving, do we, boys? We've eaten all the food, but you still have some here.”

Goyle reached for the Chocolate Frog next to Ron... Ron lunged forward, but before he could touch Goyle, Goyle let out a scream.

Bunce smashed Goyle's head with a stick he had found somewhere, and Crabbe and Malfoy backed away. Bunce was going to try again, but Harry held him back, and the three of them slipped away at once.

"What happened?" asked Hermione, coming up to them.

"It's nothing. I'm just teaching him a lesson.”Bangs sat down and said.

"You'd better change into your robes. I just went to the front of the car and asked the driver. You didn't fight, did you? We haven't even reached the place, and you're already causing trouble!”said Hermione.

"Bunce had a fight, we didn't.”said Ron, scowling at her.

"That's because you're too weak. In this kind of situation, you have to be ruthless. If you beat them up, they won't find trouble.”Bance said.

"We're going to change our clothes. Can you go out for a while?”said Harry.

"Well-I'm here because those people out there are so naughty, running up and down the corridors.”said Hermione disdainfully. "Oh, by the way, Ron, you've got something on your nose, you know that?”

Ron glared at her last words as she left. Harry glanced out of the window. The sky was already dark. Bunce saw mountains and trees under the dark purple sky. The train seemed to have slowed down.

The three of them took off their outerwear and changed into black robes. Ron's robes were a little too short, revealing his sneakers. Bunce's robes had grown so much longer that they seemed very loose.

"The train will be arriving at Hogwarts in five minutes. Please leave your luggage on the train and we will take it to the school for you.”His voice echoed throughout the train.

The train sped up and finally stopped. The passengers swarmed to the train doors and descended onto a small, dark platform. The chill of the night made Bunce shiver. Then a lamp flickered over the students 'heads, and Bangs heard a familiar voice shout,"First year! First years, come over here! Harry, come here, how are you?”

Hagrid's bearded face was smiling above the sea of people.

"Come on, come with me, are there any more first years? Be careful under your feet, all right! First-year students, follow me!"

They followed Hagrid, skidding and stumbling along what seemed to be a steep, narrow path down the slope. It was pitch black on either side of the path, and no one spoke except for the boy who had lost his toad, who sniffed occasionally.

"You're about to see Hogwarts for the first time around this corner.”Hagrid called back.

Then, there was a loud and clear roar!”

A black lake suddenly appeared at the end of the narrow path. On the other side of the lake stood a towering castle on a high hill. The castle was full of spires and its windows were shining under the starry sky.

"Each ship cannot have more than four people!" said Hagrid loudly, pointing at a row of boats moored to the shore. Harry and Ron got into the boat, followed by Bunce and Hermione, and Neville, who stood there blankly, was dragged into another boat by Hagrid.

"Are you all on board?" yelled Hagrid, who was in a boat by himself. "Then let's move forward!"

A group of boats immediately sailed across the mirror-like surface of the lake. Everyone was silent, staring at the huge castle that reached the sky. As they neared the cliff where the castle stood, it seemed to rise above them.

"Lower your head!" Hagrid shouted as the first boats approached the cliffs. Everyone lowered their heads as the boat carried them through the ivy curtains that covered the cliff face to the hidden open entrance. They followed a dark tunnel that seemed to lead them to the underground of the castle. Finally, they reached a place that looked like an underground dock. Then, they climbed up a piece of gravel and pebbles.

"Hey, look! Is this your toad?" Hagrid asked as the students disembarked.

"Thank God!" Neville shouted wildly, stretching out his arms. Then, illuminated by Hagrid's lantern, they climbed a tunnel through the rocks until they reached a flat, damp meadow in the shadow of the castle.

They climbed a flight of stone steps and gathered in front of a large oak door.

"Is everyone here? Look, your toad is still here, right?”

Hagrid raised a large fist and knocked three times on the castle gate.
