In the Primal Chapter, it was recorded that at the beginning of the chaos, there was no living thing. The world was connected, and there was only a Chaotic Green Lotus. The Green Lotus had five leaves and 24 petals, forming a lotus seed. When the trillions of years were up, the lotus seed split open, and the great god Pangu was born with the Heaven-Opening Axe in his hand. Then, Nuwa created humans, and only then did humans come into being.

When the world was first created, the universe was unstable. Pangu had the blue sky above his head and the earth beneath his feet. He grew three meters tall every day, making the sky three meters taller and the earth three meters thicker. The Heaven-Opening Axe was abandoned by Pangu. Pangu was born alone in the primitive era. When Pangu's ancestor created the world, he split the world with one axe. The clear qi rose to the sky, and the turbid qi fell to the ground.

Later, the great god Pangu felt that there was nothing in the world, so he turned into a primeval world. His left eye was the sun, his right eye was the moon, and his hair was dotted with stars. Qi is wind and cloud, sound is thunder, sweat is rain and dew; When the Great God Pangu fell, his head and limbs turned into the Five Mountains, while his spine became the Buzhou Mountain Range, the pivot between heaven and earth…His abdomen turned into a sea of blood, which was tens of thousands of miles wide. Blood waves rolled in the sea, and no fish, shrimp, birds, or insects could be seen. All the evil Qi of heaven and earth gathered here. People in Untainted Land called this place the Netherworld Blood Sea. The evil aura of heaven and earth resided here and did not dissipate all year round. The cold wind blew, and the momentum was terrifying.

Pangu's Nirvana Qi sensed Yin and Yang and the Five Elements. The first to be born were Emperor Jun and Goddess Nvywa. Emperor Jun was born in Pangu's left eye, while Goddess Nvywa and Chang Xi were born in Pangu's right eye. Therefore, Emperor Jun and Goddess Nvywa were both Yin and Yang, and Emperor Jun was more powerful than Goddess Nvywa. Thousands of years later, the Chaos Qi of the universe gave birth to Fuxi, Taiyi, and Xihe. The remaining Chaos Taiyi Qi and Universe Qi gave birth to the Five Ancestors of Sorcery. Fuxi was the Chaotic Qi that originated from the beginning of Genesis Supreme. Taiyi was born from the combination of the evil aura of heaven and earth in the Netherworld Blood Sea and the Vital Qi of Taiyi. Later, he became friends with Emperor Jun. Emperor Jun was the Heavenly Emperor and was called the East Emperor. Taiyi was known as the Demon Emperor and was also known as the Demon Emperor by the demons. Because the Demon Emperor Taiyi and the Eastern Emperor Dijun had a close relationship, they often hung out together. The latter two were also known as "Eastern Emperor Taiyi". In the "ancient era", there were many misunderstandings. The magic treasure used by Taiyi was said to be a bell formed by a portion of the Chaos Qi when Pangu created the world. This bell was also known as the Eastern Emperor Bell.

Goddess Nvywa had a younger sister named Chang Xi. Chang Xi was not on good terms with Goddess Nvywa, so she married Emperor Jun and gave birth to twelve moons. Xihe also married Emperor Jun and gave birth to ten suns. Hence, there were the Ten Heavenly Stems and Twelve Earthly Branches. Ten days dry is: A, B, C, D, E, Ji, Geng, Xin, Ren, Gui; The twelve earthly branches are: Zi, Chou, Yin, Mao, Chen, Si, Wu, Wei, Shen, You, Xu and Hai. Stems and branches were also divided into yin and yang: A, C, Wu, Geng and Ren were yang stems, B, D, Ji, Xin and Gui were dried in the shade; Zi, Yin, Chen, Wu, Shen and Xu are yang branches, while Chou, Mao, Si, Wei, You and Hai are yin branches. A heavenly stem and an earthly branch were matched and arranged. The heavenly stem was in front, and the earthly branch was behind. The heavenly stem started from Jia, and the earthly branch started from Zi. Yang stem matched with Yang branch, and dried in the shade matched with Yin branch (Yang stem did not match Yin branch, and dried in the shade did not match Yang branch). There were a total of 60 combinations, called "60 Jiazi".

With the Ten Heavenly Stems and the Twelve Earthly Branches, the stars in the universe had a regular movement and got rid of the chaotic state. It was only after tens of millions of years that they entered the "ancient era".

I. The heavenly stems and the division of yin and yang are called heavenly stems, or ten heavenly stems. The division of yin and yang, with A, C, Wu, Geng, Ren as yang stem; B, Ding, Ji, Xin, Gui are dried in the shade.

II. The attributes of the heavenly stems and the five elements belong to wood. A is yang wood and B is yin wood. C and D belong to the same fire, C is yang fire, D is yin fire. The fifth belongs to the same soil, the fifth belongs to the yang soil, and the fifth belongs to the yin soil. Geng Xin belongs to gold, Geng is Yang gold, belongs to the gold of axe; Xin was Yin Metal, a metal of the Nine Serenities. Ren Gui belongs to the same water, Ren is Yang water, belongs to the river water; Gui is yin water, belonging to rain and dew water.

3. The five elements of the twelve Earthly Branches: Hai Zi belongs to water, Yin Mao belongs to wood, Si Wu belongs to fire, Shen You belongs to metal, Chen Xu Chou does not belong to earth

The twelve branches of the earth are combined into two groups: Zi Chou is combined into earth, Yin Hai is combined into wood, Mao Xu is combined into fire, Chen You is combined into metal, Si Shen is combined into water, and Wu is not combined into earth.

5. Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches with the Five Elements: A, B, Yin, Mao, wood in the east; C, Ding, Si, noon, fire in the south; Wu, Ji, earth in the center; Chen, Xu, Chou, Wei, Siku, earth; Geng, Xin, Shen, You, gold in the west; Ren, Gui, Hai, Zi, water in the north.

All the rivers in the universe, even the water in the Milky Way in the sky, eventually gathered in this primitive and mysterious bottomless hole, the Ultimate (Note). However, the mystical water in the Ultimate did not increase or decrease because of this, because it was the heart that connected the upper universe (the celestial heavens), the middle universe (the earth), and the lower universe (the Netherworld). The Three Path River originated from the Ruins of End. The Three Path River was called the "Weak Water" when it flowed through Kunlun, the "River of Forgetfulness" when it flowed through the Nine Serenities, and the "Styx River" when it flowed through the Devil World. Santu River was also called Santu River. Because the water flow was divided into three types: slow, normal, and rapid, it was called the "Three Tu".

The initial chaotic (Taiyi) Qi between heaven and earth was divided into Yin and Yang, and the five elements became spirits. The universe had five natural elements: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. Yang qi and yin qi drifted erratically, some rising, some sinking. The rising airflow condensed into clear qi, and the sinking airflow condensed into turbid qi, so there was a change of clear and turbid qi. The rising clear qi was divided into two branches. The Xihua Qi turned into Kunlun, and the Donghua Qi turned into the East Sea. The turbid Qi was also divided into two branches. The Qi of the North Pole turned into the Spirit Mountain, and the Qi of the South Pole turned into the Nine Serenities. The primitive Great Desolate World was thus formed. This era was called the "Primitive Era."

In the primeval era, the Wu Tribe and the Demon Tribe were the most powerful. There were five Ancestors of Sorcery and twelve Senior Sorcerers. The five Ancestors of Sorcery were the Ancestral Sorcerer of the Stars, Hong Meng, the Ancestral Sorcerer of the Dragons, Ying Long (Note), the Ancestral Sorcerer of Time, Candle Dragon (Note), the Ancestral Sorcerer of Space, Di Jiang (Note), and the Ancestral Sorcerer of the Heavens, Shebi Shi (Note). The twelve great sorcerers were Gonggong, the Great Sorcerer of Water in the north, Zhurong, the Great Sorcerer of Fire in the south, Houtu, the Great Sorcerer of Earth in the center, Goumang, the Great Sorcerer of Wood in the east, and Rushou, the Great Sorcerer of Metal in the west. The Grand Sorcerer of Heaven had four great disciples, Tian Wu, the Great Sorcerer of Wind, Qiang Liang, the Great Sorcerer of Thunder, Xuan Ming, and Xi Zi, the Great Sorcerer of Lightning. The disciple of the Astral Ancestor of Sorcery, Star God Great Sorcerer Kuafu (Note). The other two Senior Sorcerers were 'Combat Senior Sorceress Xingtian' and 'Demon God Senior Sorceress Chiyou'.

After the death of the Grand Wizard of Time, he became the Buddha of the Three Ages in the Buddha Realm. " Dipamkara Buddha of the Past "," Sakyamuni Buddha of the Present ", and " Maitreya Buddha of the Future ".

In the beginning, the world was led by the gods produced by the clear and turbid Qi. After thousands of years, all kinds of living beings began to flourish on the land of the Great Desolate.

The five leaves of the Chaos Green Lotus transformed into the mysterious Five Seas. The "lotus platform" of the Chaos Green Lotus gave birth to all living beings in the Buddha Realm. Therefore, the lotus flower was the leader of the Four Great Auspicious Flowers in the Buddhist Realm. During the Primordial Era, the Buddha Realm, the Devil Realm, the Underworld, and the Immortal Realm coexisted, and the Buddha Realm was the most powerful. When Dipankara Buddha of the Buddha Realm was born, everything around him was like a lamp, so it was called Dipankara. After becoming a Buddha, it was also called Dipankara. At that time, there were many Dharma protectors in the Buddha Realm who were known as the Eight Heavenly Dragons. The Eight Divisions of Heavenly Dragons were all "non-humans", including the eight types of monsters of the Supreme Dao. Because "Heavenly Crowd" and "Dragon Crowd" were the most important, they were called "Eight Divisions of Heavenly Dragons". There are eight tribes, namely, one day, two dragons, three yakshas, four gandavas, five asuras, six garuda, seven jinnara, and eight makhoraga. Amongst the Eight Heavenly Dragons, Asura was the strongest. Later, Asura fell into the Devil World and became the first king of the Shura World.

The Mountain and River Chapter of << Strange Records of Gods and Demons >> In ancient times, there was a water in the south of Kunlun that could not defeat mustard, so it was called weak water. There was a water in the north of Kunlun that was called Luo water. Ruo Shui and Luo Shui were both poured into one of the mysterious five seas, the Vast Sea.

In the Mountain and River Chapter, there were two dangerous lands to the west of the Divine Lands. In the northwest direction was the boundless and desolate Gobi Desert. People called it the " Barbarian Land ". It had not rained for hundreds of years, and the climate was extremely dry. Occasionally, there were some oases, but most of them were occupied by ferocious beasts. Naturally, ordinary people would die the moment they entered. According to the rumors, there was a grand temple in the depths of the Wilderness, the birthplace of the Demonic Sect.

As for the southwest, it was the huge Swamp of Death that everyone talked about. The climate here was completely different from the Wilderness. In a year, it rained seven or eight out of ten days. All kinds of strange plants grew luxuriously.

The westernmost part of the Divine Lands was covered in fog all year round. There was only a narrow path leading to the place, which was located in the middle of the Wildlands and the Swamp of Death. The narrow path was strange. If one didn't know the way, they wouldn't be able to walk out and would be trapped inside, which was dangerous. This place used an extremely powerful illusion formation to successfully cross over to the Ruo Shui bank. Further north was the legendary Kunlun Divine Realm. It was said that more than 2,000 years ago, a Kunlun god came to the Central Plains. For some reason, no one went deep into the Kunlun Mountain in the later generations, and there was no more news of the Kunlun Divine Realm.

The northernmost part of the Divine Lands was a land of ice and snow. The accumulated snow that had accumulated for ten thousand years had turned into layers of ice crystals, which were known as profound ice. After passing through Xuan Bing's territory, there was a blood-red maple forest and a peach forest full of spring. It was very different from the previous Ice and Snow Realm, forming a sharp contrast. The current Arctic Icefield was extremely cold and gloomy, and the Icy Jade Pool was the coldest.

After the Battle of Banquan, Chiyou and the Yellow Emperor fought in Zhuolu. After a long battle, Chiyou invited the Kuafu Tribe from the north to join the battle. In the last battle, the remaining troops of the Chiyou Tribe and the Kuafu Tribe were heavily surrounded by the Yellow Emperor's army. At this moment, the dragon dragon in the Yellow Emperor Formation showed its power. It flew in the sky and squeaked, killing the Chiyou people who had nowhere to run and many Kuafu people. When the Yellow Emperor's army surrounded them, even the leader of Chiyou, who had the power to topple mountains and the aura of the world, did not escape the fate of being captured alive. Of course, the Yellow Emperor would not forgive the captured leader of the army, Chiyou, so he immediately killed him. When he killed him, the Yellow Emperor did not dare to remove the shackles on his hands and feet immediately, fearing that he would escape.

Knowing himself and knowing his enemy, he would win every battle. Finally, he defeated Chiyou on the battlefield of Zhuolu. However, the captured Chiyou refused to surrender. Chiyou was born from the evil aura of the Heavenly Emperor. The Yellow Emperor was afraid that he would be resurrected, so he buried his body everywhere in the Great Wilderness, turning the place where his head was always gathered into the "Blood Maple Forest". The ground stained by Chiyou's blood became a maple forest. Every leaf was bright red, which was the blood stains that splattered from Chiyou's body. Even now, he was still expressing his grief and indignation.

After Kuafu's death, the peach wood divine staff turned into a peach forest. The Kuafu Clan members picked up Kuafu's bones, cremated them, and buried them on Kuafu Mountain. Kuafu clan members all put on hemp mourning clothes, holding peach branches in their hands, wailing loudly. Along the way, they planted peach branches everywhere, most of which were planted at the place where Kuafu was sacrificed, buried and the temple.

In the spring of the second year, at the place where Kuafu was sacrificed, peach trees grew out. The branches were especially strong, red like blood, and shiny like cream. The old peach trees around him had flowers like clouds, like fire and blood."This peach forest was nurtured by the former Emperor Kuafu.”He also inserted peach blossoms from the eight clubs, all of which were also very red. Everyone said: "This Heroic Soul has been reborn." So they agreed that the peach forest within 300 miles would not be cut down and damaged for generations. It could be planted and planted but not destroyed.

In the northeast of the Divine Lands, there were endless grasslands and forests. There were rare spiritual items and various magic treasures. The scenery was pleasant and there were many types of animals and plants. It was said that there were also prehistoric descendants hidden here. And the northeast gave birth to another unique animal, the "magical beast". It was a strange species like the "demonic beasts" of the demon world and the "spiritual beasts" of the immortal world. After the great war a thousand years ago, the Shura Sect hid here, waiting for an opportunity to take back the leadership position of the Demonic Sect. It was said that Shura Luo Sect was a big sect in the Shura World. The Shura World had connections with the Nine Nether World and the Devil World. Generally speaking, the Shura World and the Demon Realm were both classified as the Demon Realm.

On the east side of the Divine Lands was the boundless sea. It was also so sparsely populated that it was difficult for birds to cross it. Mount Liubo in the East Sea was a magnificent and steep mountain. It occupied a vast area. In terms of size, it was actually the largest among the island ranges in the East Sea. However, because the mountain was remote and rarely visited, it was far less famous than the other two famous islands in the East Sea, Penglai Immortal Mountain and Yama's Island.

"Man-Devouring Flower" recorded in "Hundred Herbs Chapter": Wild strange, flowers bloom more than ten feet, red on the top and white on the bottom, there are red beads on the top, adhere to living things to swallow.

There were also the five most mysterious flowers recorded in the Hundred Herbs Chapter: Mandala Flower. Mandala flowers had five colors, and there were five types of flowers in the world. Heavenly Rain Mandala Flower, Maha Mandala Flower, Manjusaka Flower, Maha Manjusaka Flower. One of the purple mandala flowers was said to bloom in the Merciless Sea, one of the mysterious Five Seas. This kind of mandala flower was the most mysterious. It was not mixed with the other four colors and was called the "Mandala Flower" alone. The Mandala Flower that was passed down in later generations mostly referred to the Purple Mandala Flower. The other four were Red Mandala Flower, Black Mandala Flower, Golden Mandala Flower, and White Mandala Flower.

The red mandala was called Manjusaka, also known as the Flower of the Other Shore. The flower bloomed for a thousand years, and the flower fell for a thousand years. The other shore flower bloomed on the other shore, but the flowers were visible, not the leaves. Flowers and leaves are intertwined, and they will never see each other again. Love was not karma, fate determined life and death. The other shore flowers open on the other shore, what can I do in front of the Bridge of Helplessness? Those who walked towards the Kingdom of Death would step on this poignant flower to reach the Nether Prison. Legend had it that the spider lilies were the gentleness of the devil. The flower that voluntarily entered hell was sent back by the demons, but it still lingered on the road to the underworld. The demons could not bear it and agreed to let her bloom on this road to guide and comfort the souls who left the human world. It was the Flower of Guidance that grew by the River of Forgetfulness. It was the only flower in the Underworld. It was said that this flower only bloomed in the Yellow Springs. It was the only scenery on the road to the Yellow Springs. It bloomed in the "Sea of Tears" of the Nine Nether.

The black Mandala Flower was called Mahamanjusaka. The black mandala was the noblest species among the mandala. It was a noble, elegant, and mysterious flower. The black mandala was a beautiful and strange flower. She was beautiful and gloomy. Legend has it that every pot of black mandala flowers has a ferocious spirit that can help you fulfill your wishes! However, they also had a condition in exchange, and that was the blood of humans! As long as you use your own blood to water that black enchanting mandala flower, it will communicate with you and possess boundless magic power. They could only be watered with blood because they loved this passionate and fatal feeling. As long as the black mandala that was carefully nurtured could communicate with the spirit, it would be enchanting and intoxicating, but it could not be approached or smelled. Legend has it that the sea of desire opened in the demon world.

The Golden Mandala Flower was a kind and broad love that could be seen by those who were favored by the heavens and had endless happiness. The flowers were big and beautiful, and their colors would change with the seasons. This flower is very rare, ordinary people have no chance to see it. It was said that as long as one could get the golden Mandala Flower, they would find happiness. It was said that it bloomed in the "Bitter Sea" near Mount Meru. "At the Spirited Mountain Gathering, the World Venerable showed the crowd by picking flowers. At that time, everyone was silent, only Kasyapa broke into a smile. The Blessed One said,"I have the eyes of the right way, the wonderful mind of Nirvana, the true form and non-form, and the subtle method. I don't use words to teach them. I entrust them to Maha Kasyapa."”The Golden Mandala Flower.

White Mandala, a rare flower in the divine realm, also known as the horn of an angel. It was a sacrifice of the soul to load oneself on a leaf to reach the mystery of the oracle. It bloomed on the bank of Ruoshui and was a strange flower of the Kunlun Mountain in the Divinity. It obtained the essence of heaven and earth and the spiritual qi of all things. It absorbed the essence of the sun and moon and was nurtured for ten thousand years. It had the attribute of earth. White and holy. It was guarded by the Seven-Colored Deer of the Divine Realm. Anyone who saw this flower, whether they were demons or people swallowed by desire, could reconstruct their souls. They could see the sea drying up and turning into mulberry fields, the mountains and rivers changing, and the impermanence of time. Their hearts would return to the embrace of the gods. Rubus ruthenicus was the last flower that bloomed in the blooming season. When the Rubus ruthenicus bloomed, only the flowers that bloomed on the other side of the forgotten past life were left. Legend has it that it opened in the "sea".

Emperor River (Note 6): The second volume of the Classic of Mountains and Seas, the Classic of the Western Mountains, says: "Three hundred and fifty miles to the west is the Heavenly Mountain. It is rich in gold, jade, and realgar. Yingshui originates from here and flows southwest into the Tanggu. There is a divine bird, shaped like a yellow bag, red like cinnabar fire, six feet and four wings, muddy without face, this is the ability to sing and dance, in fact, is the emperor river.”

[Candle Dragon (Note 7): Classic of Mountains and Seas.] "Outside the Northwest Sea, north of Chishui, there is Zhangwei Mountain. There is a god, with a human face, a snake body and a red body, straight eyes and a straight car. When he closes his eyes, it is dark, and when he looks, it is bright. Do not eat, do not sleep, do not rest, the wind and rain will come. It's the Candle Dragon, the Torch Dragon."

Yinglong (Note 8):"A dragon becomes a horned dragon after 500 years, and a Yinglong after 1,000 years." Yinglong could be considered the essence of dragons, which was why it grew wings. Hornless ones were called Qiu, Qiu: Generally speaking, small dragons without horns were called horned dragons, which were growing dragons. Scaled ones were called flood dragons, horned ones were called horned dragons, and horned dragons were yellow hornless dragons. Those with wings were called Yinglong.

[Torch Dragon (Note 9): A mutant of the Yinglong. The Eight Desolates Fire Dragon is the descendant of the Torch Dragon. The Eight Desolates Fire Dragon has only inherited one of its attributes.] It was said that Torch Dragon was the disciple of the Ancestor of Time.

[Note: A mythical beast in ancient Chinese mythology.] Also known as candle shadow, also known as dragon. It had a human face and a dragon body. It held a candle in its mouth and illuminated the dark in the sunless northwest. It was said that he was extremely powerful. When he opened his eyes, the whole world would be bright, which meant that it was daytime. When he closed his eyes, it was night. Modern cultural historians believed that the Torch Dragon was a myth of the dragon totem clan in the north. Its original appearance should be a male root, which evolved from male genitalia. It came into being later than the era of vulva worship.

[Ultimate (Note 10): Excerpted from Baidu Encyclopedia, does not represent the views of Celestial Bane Follow-up, only for reference.]

According to the historical records, the Classic of Mountains and Seas mentioned that the Guixu Ruins was the country of Shaohao, and although Shaohao's divinity was complicated and varied, it was mainly the king of birds of the bird totem tribe of the eastern barbarians. He had the elements of the God of Gold, but the Sea God was the main one. Especially in the fairy tales. The story of Shaohao's birth told by the people of the Jin Dynasty was very telling. It was said that Huang'e, the mother of Shaohao God, met the son of the White Emperor (the White Emperor was the God of Gold) on the vast sea of Qiong Sang. They swam on the sea and forgot to return. They lived a life beyond the world and entered the world. In the end, they gave birth to Shaohao.

The God of Gold was in the west, while the Sea God was in the east. The dual nature of Shaohao's divine persona had been revealed. In mythological place names, these two natures were also reflected: The meaning of the words 'Ruins' and 'Ruins of End' was the opposite. Shuo Wen Jie Zi explained that Xu was Daqiu. This was the original meaning of Xu, which was in line with the Kunlun Ruins. However, there was also the meaning of a big valley (see Kangxi dictionary). These dual characters and even multiple characters were the common characteristics of the ancient myths of the Celestial Dynasty, from the words to the writing, from the plot to the characters.

Almost at the same time as this development, the book was written in the Jin Dynasty, under the name of Liezi. Tang Wen gave a more detailed report on the Ruins of End, and it was also more colorful. According to this report, the Ultimate was even further away from the Celestial Empire. It was floating on the horizon hundreds of millions of miles away to the east of the Bohai Sea with even more bizarre illusory wings. In addition, the confluence of the sea and the mountains became a new characteristic of the Sinkhole myths. In the bottomless sea in the far east, five divine mountains rose up from the sky: Daiyu, Yuanqiao, Fanghu, Yingzhou and Penglai. These mountains were 30,000 miles in circumference, 70,000 miles apart from each other, and each peak was 9,000 miles tall. Was this the scenery of the human world?

According to the records of the people of Jin, one day, the residents of the celestial mountain were fed up with the shifting environment. They collectively complained to the supreme god of the universe. Emperor (this title had already been recorded in the Yin Dynasty) was afraid that the divine mountain flow in the eastern part of the universe would move to the western extreme, breaking the balance of the universe. To make the residents of the divine mountains lose their homes, they sent Yu Qiang, the God of the North Sea with a human face and a bird body (Yu Qiang's bird body indicated his Dongyi origin, which was consistent with the eastern elements of the Shaohao God) to command fifteen giant turtles to divide into five groups. They used their heads to support the base of the mountains and stabilize the five divine mountains. They were ordered to rotate once every sixty thousand years. This scene, in conjunction with the myths of the turtle fish carrying the ground and the turtle fish blinking, could hint at the primitive concept of the divine mountain being the earth. Carrying the mountain is actually carrying the ground. It seemed that behind the figures of the Sinkhole Mythology that had transformed into immortal words, there might be traces of the Creation Mythology that was even older than the Kunlun Mythology.

A comparison of ancient and modern legends

The giant god in the Ultimate was the same height as the giant in the River Map Jade Plate that Zhang Hua had cited. This dramatic myth was not so much a shadow of ancient history as it was more like the interstellar wars described in many science fiction novels. The sinking of Daiyu and Yuanqiao was very similar to the destruction of planets in interstellar wars. The ancient residents who were good at flying and had extremely long lifespans had similar imaginations with modern people about the high-level intelligent animals on foreign planets. In Greece, there was a legend of Atlantis that had been circulating since before the Christian era: The people of the Great Western Continent had created a highly developed prehistoric civilization. However, due to their overconfidence and the loss of moral self-restraint, they were finally destroyed by God. The Great Western Continent also sank into a tragic state.

Comparing the myths of the fallen mountains of Daiyu and Yuanqiao with those of the Great Western Continent, one could find that they were similar in four aspects: (1) The Earth's circular shape determined that the Ultimate in the easternmost part of China was likely to be at the same geographical point as Atlantis in the westernmost part of Greece;(2) Both places are islands surrounded by the ocean;(3) The two divine mountains and the Great Western Continent were eventually sunk into Wang Yang by the power of God or the will of the anti-God;(4) Both places had a highly developed civilization, which then disappeared. However, they also had two differences. First, the role of God was completely different. In Greece, he was the factor that destroyed civilization, but in China, it was the opposite.

2. The legends of the Great Western Continent were full of dualistic opposites, such as the conflict between humanism and religious spirit. And the myths of the Ultimate revealed a tendency to seek harmony among the pluralities. This was reflected in the existence of many primitive forms (such as the fifteen-headed giant turtle, the human-faced and bird-bodied Yu Qiang, the Long Bo Giant God Race, etc.), as well as the ultimate trust in the ability of the supreme god of the universe to save the world.

All in all, the legends of the Ultimate and the legends of the Great Western Continent were similar on the surface, but they revealed different national spirits.

The symbolic meaning of the Ultimate

All in all, the legends of the Ultimate and the legends of the Great Western Continent were similar on the surface, but they revealed different national spirits.

The confluence of the sea and the mountains in the Ultimate was a manifestation of the confluence of myths from the east (the Sea of the Ultimate) and the west (the summit of Kunlun) in ancient times. Its existence was shockingly compatible with God Shaohao's dual identity as the supervisor of the Eastern and Western races. The profoundness of this place was thought-provoking. The confluence of the sea and the mountains had something to do with the mystical mirage on the shores of the Bohai Sea. The impermanence and variation of natural phenomena inspired the imagination of myths and made them universal.
