Clayon put the scroll into the space ring and nodded to show that he understood. Then he chatted with Jickam for a while before returning to the tower to prepare his luggage.

Hisith looked at Clayon's back and said,""Jickam, do you think we should not tell him our purpose? Also, could he really control 20 small fireballs?”

"I've seen it with my own eyes. I won't tell you about it for now. He's not capable enough to be the Chief Judge of the Brilliance Shrine yet.”

"Yes, but I'm still worried. He has two ancient treasures found in the ruins of the gods, as well as the secret of the all-attribute physique. If he doesn't hide it well and attract the attention of the Dark Shrine, it'll be troublesome.”

Gickam rolled his eyes at Hisith and said,""Isn't it enough that you sent the Holy Knight Shaka to protect him in secret? A Paladin is a level-12 Magus Saint. If Shaka got close to me, I wouldn't be able to escape. With his protection, how many people in this world could threaten him?”

Hisith rubbed his chin and nodded. He suddenly made up his mind and said,""No, I still have to go back to the temple. One Paladin is not enough. I'll call two more. It was better to be foolproof. After fighting with the Darkness Shrine for so many years, both sides had schemed against each other countless times. It was better to be careful.”

Clayon packed a bag and walked out. He didn't have many things. Other than a few clothes and a few gold coins, all the other valuable things were in the interspatial ring.

After leaving the house, Clayon bid farewell to Gickam and Sith before walking south along the path of the Mage Tower. Clayon had been to the Wild Wolf City several times, so he was no stranger to it.

It would take at least a dozen days to get from the Mage Tower to Wild Wolf City, but Clayon did not waste any time.

Clayon walked along the edge of the Magical Beast Forest. From time to time, he and Little White would enter the forest to collect some Magical Beasts and get some Essence Crystals. When they saw the city wall of the Wild Wolf City, Little White had finally evolved into a Grade 5 Magical Beast.

Clayon was surprised and delighted. He grabbed Little White and stuffed it into the book. He almost vomited blood when he found that the evolution days behind the level had become ten months. That meant that even if he insisted on bringing Little White around the Magical Beast Forest every day, it would still take two months for Little White to reach level six.

Level seven was four months, level eight was eight months, and level nine was one year and three months. Level 10 required two years and six months, level 11 was five years, and level 12 required…

The more Clayon calculated, the more dizzy he became. Heavens, how long would he have to train for? If only he had some kind of evolutionary medicine that could immediately evolve.

Wild Wolf City hadn't changed much from a year ago. After Clayon was inspected at the city gate, he paid the toll fee and entered the city.

After eating barbecue for more than ten days, even the orcs would be disgusted. Clayon's first goal was to run to the most famous food stall in the city and order ten buns. Then, he would hold the hot buns in one hand and stuff them into his mouth with the other.

Clayon finished the meaty buns in a short while. He rubbed his bulging belly and found the Guild of Magic Research Institute. Unfortunately, everyone had already gotten off work. Other than the old man who was guarding the door, there was no one else.

Clayon could only find a hotel nearby for the night. He didn't have to worry about money. The money he had stolen from that idiot Lorant was enough to spend. Moreover, there was still a large pile of crystal cores in his spatial ring. Even if he didn't go to look for Pagoda, it was enough for Clayon.

"Old thing, if you don't have money, don't come and steal.”

Just as Clayon was about to find a hotel, he saw the thugs of a restaurant kick out an old man in his seventies with a head full of white hair.

The old man's clothes were tattered, but they were very clean. He was still holding two steamed buns in his hands when he was kicked out.

"Old thing, get lost or I'll break your legs.”

The old man chuckled." Don't, please don't. I just stole two steamed buns. You can't be so ruthless, right? I'll go, I'll go."”

As soon as the two thugs turned around, the old man slipped into the restaurant like a loach and went straight to a table that was about to be removed. There was still an untouched roast pig there.

"Old man, do you want to die?" The two thugs picked up their clubs and were ready to break the old man's legs.

The boss was also angry. Just as he was about to step forward and make a move, he heard someone behind him say,"Stop, I'll pay for that person."

The two thugs pulled back their sticks when they were still half a meter away from the old man's head.

Clayon took out a gold coin." This should be enough. Let that man eat his fill."”

When the boss saw the gold coins, he immediately sent the thugs away. He nodded and bowed as he took the gold coins and said,"No problem, no problem. One gold coin is enough."

The old man took two bites of the suckling pig and threw it away.""Old man, I'm not eating anymore. Give me back my gold coins.”

Before the restaurant owner could react, the old man grabbed the gold coin and pulled Clayon out of the restaurant. Then, he turned around and spat at the door."Old man, I'm eating your lousy food because I think highly of you. I've never been to any restaurant in the city, so I've never eaten such terrible food.”

The boss's face turned green. Just as he was about to call for his thugs, he saw that the old man had already dragged Clayon away. He cursed himself in his heart. If he had known earlier, he would have put the money away.

The old man pulled Clayon into a small alley and stopped.""Kid, you help people you don't know. Yes, you're a good kid. I like you, so we'll watch a good show tonight. But before that, let's go find something to eat nearby.”

Clayon didn't have time to object.

The old man led Ryan through the streets and alleys and stopped in front of a stall by the city wall. This was a slum area, and there were very few people in the food stall. A few people sat there drinking inferior white wine and eating cheap snacks.

The old man pointed at the stall and said," Don't look down on this place. I've been in the city for so many years. Other than this snack, I really think that the dishes made by those restaurants are simply made by idiots."”

Ol 'Amos pulled Clayon to a table and said,""Boss, give us a few of your specialty snacks. I still have things to do after I'm full.”

The boss seemed to know the old man as he smiled and said,""Geruga, we have money again."

Geruga smiled and lowered his voice.""Little brother, I'll treat you to a good show after dinner.”
