When Luoli walked steadily into the airport lobby, she heaved a long sigh of relief. She had finally returned safely!
Actually, it wasn't too safe. Not long after they arrived in Tokyo, they encountered a calamity.
After she and her senior attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony of an international film festival, they met a robber on the way back to the hotel.
That little bastard had no taste. When he saw Luoli carrying such a big bag, he thought that there were thousands of gold or even tens of thousands of silver in it and followed her for two or three streets.
Originally, they wanted to enjoy the night view of Tokyo, so Luo Li and Senior walked back to the hotel. Unexpectedly, they were robbed within three streets. Luo Li did not feel bad for the wallet and phone inside, mainly because there was a camera inside. That was a photographer's livelihood.
Luoli used all her strength to chase after the little bad guy for five streets. At least she was a track and field athlete in school. Although she had not practiced for many years, she still had some foundation. When she was about to get close to him, she pounced forward and pinned the little robber to the ground along with his bag. Luoli placed his arm behind her back and used her knee to support him. She then snatched the bag back and opened it to check the camera inside. Fortunately, the bag was sturdy enough and did not cause any major damage. When she had the time to look at the robber on the ground, she realized that it was actually a teenager who looked no more than thirteen or fourteen years old.
The youth was sprawled on the ground, struggling as he mumbled something. Luoli frowned and listened carefully for a while before she could tell that he was apologizing. As for what else he said, she could not guess. After all, he was speaking Japanese and Luoli's Japanese was only at the beginner level of 'hello' and 'thank you'. Just as he was hesitating whether to send him to the police or let him off, a familiar voice descended from the sky."You're doing something stupid again."
Luoli was stunned. She raised her head and stared at Tang Muchen with wide eyes. Tang Muchen's face was filled with helplessness. She thought that she was dreaming. She must be dreaming. He had sent her to the airport this morning. Why did he suddenly appear in front of her now? Tang Muchen ignored her silly look and chatted with the young man on the ground in Japanese. He patted Luoli's shoulder and gestured for her to get up.
"He said that his mother is sick and doesn't have the money to see a doctor or buy medicine. He had no choice but to snatch your bag.”Tang Muchen relayed the youth's words to Luoli.
Luoli was skeptical of the youth's words. She used the streetlight to size up the timid and skinny boy in front of her. The youth's face was sallow, his lips were purple from the cold, and his entire body was dirty. Winter in Tokyo was considered cold, so it was indeed rare for a youth to wear a torn jacket and thin jeans.
She frowned and thought for a while. She glanced at Tang Muchen and took out her wallet from her bag. Just as she was about to take out her money, he stopped her. Tang Muchen winked at her and took out a few notes and stuffed them into the young man's hands. He said a few more words. The young man held the money and bowed more than ninety degrees to the two of them. He thanked them and turned away.
"When did you become a good person?”Luo Li glanced at him suspiciously.
"It's all for you." Tang Muchen shot her a glance." Don't forget, the cost of doing good deeds is not included in your travel expenses.”
Luoli pursed her lips and thought of something. She turned around and asked,"Where did you come from? Don't tell me you're on a business trip too."
"I'm indeed not on a business trip. I'm on vacation.”Tang Muchen grinned at her sneakily." Why do you think I worked overtime so often?”
Just like that, Luoli spent three days in Japan with Tang Muchen's " company ". Other than work, the two of them also strolled around from north to south. Luoli agreed to let the two of them go together because there was a free porter. Tang Muchen, on the other hand, treated the trip as a honeymoon. Even if he was thick-skinned enough, he could only let him go.
However, there was one thing that Luoli did not know. Tang Muchen's trip to Japan was actually outside of his plans. He had originally wanted to save up some time to spend with Luoli during the new year, but he had received a tip-off from Doctor Yang. That was why he had thrown away his work and rushed over to take a break. Yang Hanze was really a good friend. He didn't tell him in the name of a psychiatrist, but when they were drinking together, he spilled the beans.
After Luoli returned home, she sorted out the things she had bought and took advantage of the weekend to rest. She would then find a time to send out the gifts one by one and she would be done.
When she woke up, the sky was already dark. Luo Li got up in a daze to wash her face and make some noodles to eat. Staying at home alone and feeling bored, Luoli decided to go shopping at Blues.
Ever since Mo Ying left Blues, Luo Li had not stepped into Blues. Seeing the long-awaited lights and crowds, the lonely corner of her heart was filled with noisy dance music, temporarily banishing her.
They sat at the bar counter. Latte was on duty today and there was not much to talk about. Latte was a person of few words to begin with. He only made a glass of fruit wine and placed it in front of Luoli before he went to do other things. Luoli supported her head with one hand and fiddled with the straw with the other. She stared at Latte's busy back and felt that he was the only one who could give her a sense of security. She was in the Blues and not somewhere else.
Strangely enough, before Mo Ying appeared, it was a happy thing to come to the Blues. Listening to some unique songs, drinking Latte or Abu's wine, one boring night after another would pass. Now that he had returned to the previous environment, why did he not have the interest at that time? She shook her head. Perhaps her ears had been bitten by Mo Ying. Today's song was not to her stomach. She drank the wine in her glass in one gulp and left.
