preface

Work at sunrise and rest at sunset.

This was how people in the world lived their lives year after year, day after day, mechanically and rigidly.

Every morning, a red sun would rise from the east and set from the west at night. This unchanging rule had never been disturbed by the will of some people. However, careful people would find that although people in the world lived their own lives according to their personal preferences, their lives were very different. The days when there were people were vigorous and earth-shattering. The days when there were people were peaceful and quiet. The days when there were people were comfortable, happy, unrestrained, and full of warmth. There were also people whose lives were full of twists and turns, full of hardship, bitterness, and suffering. However, people had a common characteristic. No matter who they were, they were never satisfied with their lives. People always had unlimited desires and expectations for the future. However, people's lives were never peaceful. They were filled with contradictions and struggles, big and small. Old conflicts were resolved, struggles were over, and life took a step forward. However, with the arrival of a new day, new contradictions and struggles would appear. Some contradictions were extremely sharp. Some contradictions were kept secret. Some conflicts were caused by power struggles; Some conflicts were just to satisfy the basic needs of survival. Some conflicts were because of emotional entanglements and they were brooding over it and fighting. Some conflicts were caused by the desire to possess wealth. There were all kinds of strange things.

Time flew like an arrow, and the sun and moon flew like shuttles.

In the blink of an eye, a day had passed, and in the blink of an eye, a month had passed. Last year's Spring Festival had just passed, and the couplets on both sides of the door were still bright red. However, suddenly, there was the sound of firecrackers. Another year's New Year's Eve had arrived in front of them.

When you closed your eyes and looked back at the past, you would realize that a person's life was actually very short. It was simply like a white colt passing through a gap, like a shooting star passing through the sky, fleeting. The extremely ordinary days in people's lives were like pearls, footprints, and leaves. If they were connected by a red line, it would look like a string of golden chains, like a parabola of life hanging in the sky of history.

If we arrange these chains and parabolas of life, and then display them in front of people with words, so that future generations can appreciate, think, and learn useful experiences from them, so that people can learn how to fight, how to get along with others, how to build their homes more beautiful, and how to live better, wouldn't it be beautiful?
