Confucius left the State of Wei with his students. Where were they going next? He thought," My thinking is flat. For example, I am talking about benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and faith. I am thinking about benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and faith, and I am also pursuing benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and faith. However, Laozi's thoughts were three-dimensional. For example, when he talked about blessing, he thought of disaster. There was blessing in disaster, and there was disaster in blessing. Why did he think of things in three-dimensional form? I want to take the students to learn the secrets from him.”

Confucius told this idea to his students, and they all agreed. But where can I find me?

In 525 B.C., King Jing of Zhou wanted to make Wang Zichao the crown prince. Before he could do so, King Jing of Zhou passed away. The courtiers supported his eldest son Meng as king. This was King Dao of Zhou. Wang Zichao led his troops to seize the throne. The State of Jin sent troops to attack Wang Zichao and supported Wang Zigai as king. This was King Jing of Zhou.

In 519 B.C., the State of Jin escorted King Jing of Zhou back to court. However, Wang Zichao had already proclaimed himself king, so King Jing of Zhou could not enter the capital and lived in Zeyi. In 516 B.C., the State of Jin led the vassals to escort King Jing back to the Zhou Dynasty, and Zi Chao became a subject. In 504 B.C., the followers of Wang Zichao rebelled again, and King Jing of Zhou fled to the State of Jin. In 503 B.C., Duke Ding of Jin once again escorted King Jing back to Zhou. Wang Zichao fled to Chu State with a large number of books from the Zhou Dynasty's collection room.

According to the titles of duke, marquis, uncle, son, and baron, the emperor of Zhou divided the land outside the capital region to his brothers, descendants, relatives, and meritorious officials. He relied on the tributes of the duke, marquis, uncle, son, and men to make a living. Now, the dukes, marquises, uncle, son, and men were all kings and did not follow the rules to pay tribute to the emperor of Zhou.

The Zhou royal family had a hard time making a living. King Jing of Zhou implemented a policy of reducing the number of people who were not of the Zhou royal family's bloodline. Most of the books in the Zhou Dynasty's collection room were brought to Chu by Wang Zichao. The collection room was unimportant. Therefore, Lao Tzu rode a green bull to the west to educate the people.

The leader of Hangu Pass, Yi Xi, saw a ball of purple gas coming from the east and knew that an extraordinary figure had arrived. When the purple qi arrived in front of the pass, he saw that it was his father riding a green bull. He was immediately overjoyed and asked,"Mr. Laodan, where are you going?”

"The Zhou family is not doing well and is about to close down. The Zhou family has reduced its staff and increased efficiency. I'm laid off and ready to go to the west to educate the people.”

"Mr. Laodan, can you stay in the city for a few days?”

"You know that I'll let nature take its course. I'll stay for a few days.”

As Yi Xi spoke, he ran down the city tower and ordered the soldiers to open the city gate to welcome Laozi into the city.

Yi Xi was originally a doctor of the Zhou Dynasty. He had learned a lot of knowledge from Laozi in the court. Later, Yi Xi saw that the Zhou royal family had been made a figurehead by the vassals and was only in name. He thought that it was better to be a manager in a branch office than to have an empty reputation in the head office. Thus, he took the initiative to request to guard Hangu Pass.

Yi Xi was overjoyed to see his old friend again. He had always admired Laozi's knowledge and had a long talk with Laozi all night. He asked,"Mr. Laodan, when will you come back from the west?”

"I am confident that I will live for two hundred years. I will work hard to live to two hundred and ninety years old. The ancient roots of the fallen leaves might come back two hundred years later, or they might never come back.”

Yi Xi thought to himself," When I return 200 years later, I will have already turned into soil and will no longer be able to listen to my teachings. It is a pity to lose such a great ideologist."”He sincerely said to Lao Tzu,"Mr. Laodan, there is no greater philosopher than you. Have you left your thoughts in the Central Plains?"”

"I have no works left behind."

"If you don't think I'm humble, please leave your thoughts behind. I'll preach your principles on your behalf, okay?”

Laozi stroked his silver beard and pondered for a moment before saying,""Being and non-being are born together. The world was always in a state of mutual transformation between two contradictory parties. At this moment, there was something, but in the next moment, it would become nothing. I have never kept anything secret. Moreover, I was born in the Central Plains, so I'm more willing to pass on my thoughts to future generations to benefit them. Today, you are willing to spread my thoughts, and I am very happy. Alright, I'll teach you the philosophy I've comprehended in my life.”

Therefore, Laozi settled down at Hangu Pass. After writing the Tao Te Ching of 5,000 words, Lao Tzu said to Yi Xi,"The Great Dao of the world is here. If I use my Great Dao to govern the country, the country will be harmonious and happy. If I use my Great Dao to govern the army, I can win a complete victory. If I use my Dao to nourish my body, I can live a long life.”

Yi Xi prostrated on the ground and kowtowed to Lao Tzu."Thank you, Mr. Laodan, for showing the Great Way to the world.”

Lao Tzu handed the Tao Te Ching to Yi Xi and rode the green bull out of the pass to the west.

No one could tell where I had gone. Some people said that Lao Tzu went west and turned into a barbarian, which meant that he went to educate the westerners. According to authoritative statistics, Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching was second only to the Bible in the spread of classics in the west. Some people said that after Lao Tzu finished writing the Tao Te Ching, he returned to the Song Kingdom to live in seclusion. According to records, Lao Tzu died at the age of more than 200. His neighbors were heartbroken and the old man cried as if he was crying for his son. The young cried like they were crying for their mother. Only Qin Yi, Laozi's good friend, came to offer his condolences. He cried three times and left. Some people said that Laozi had turned into Qi. Laozi was originally transformed from the Great Dao of the Universe. After living for more than 200 years, he turned into purple qi and returned to the eternal Great Dao of the Universe. He was always by the side of the people. If the people followed his teachings, they would succeed. If they violated his teachings, they would fail. This was also credible. These were all things to be discussed later.

Confucius heard many rumors. Some said that Lao Tzu had gone west to become a barbarian, some said that Lao Tzu had gone to the State of Song to live in seclusion, and some said that Lao Tzu had returned to his hometown, the State of Chen. It was impossible to tell whether it was true or false, but Confucius believed that Lao Tzu had returned to his hometown, the State of Chen. Confucius said to his students,"Let's go to the State of Chen to find Teacher Laodan."”The students, eager to meet the great, one-of-a-kind ideologist, agreed readily.

Who knew that they would encounter trouble when they reached Kuangdi. His disciple Yan Ke drove the carriage for him. Yan Ke pointed at the horse whip and said,"In the past, I entered this city through that gap.”A farmer working in the field heard the sound. He stared at Confucius, threw away his hoe, and ran.

Soon, a large group of people with hoes, sticks, and hammers surrounded Confucius and his students.

It turned out that Yang Hu had harmed Kuang people. Confucius and Yang Hu looked alike. Kuang people mistook Confucius for Yang Hu and wanted to avenge Yang Hu for harming Kuang people.

Confucius and his students were besieged for five days. When Yan Yuan arrived, Confucius said,"I thought you were dead."”"Teacher, you're alive. How could I dare to die?" Yan Yuan said.”

The Kuang people besieged Confucius more and more urgently, and the disciples were very afraid. Confucius said,"King Wen of Zhou is dead. Isn't the ritual and music system of the Zhou Dynasty here with us?" If the heavens wanted to destroy these rites and music systems, they would not let us, who died later, bear the responsibility of maintaining them. Heaven did not want to destroy these rites and music of the Zhou Dynasty. What can Kuang people do to me?”

Confucius sent one of his followers to Ning Wuzi and asked him to lift the siege of Kuang. Ning Wuzi was a very good person. He said to Kuang Ren,"You are mistaken. This is not the Yang Hu that you can hate, but the Sage of Lu, Confucius.”When the people of Kuang saw Ning Wuzi come to testify, they believed that Confucius was Confucius and automatically lifted the siege. Confucius led the students away from Kuang.
