Ambush
When General Philip saw Steve, he teased him in a mocking tone,""What is it, America's hero draped in the star-spangled banner, what do you want to do today?”
"I want to know the name list for the Battle of Azano.”Steve went straight to the point.
"You have no right to order me around, kid.”Philip said coldly.
"I just want to know about Sergeant James Baines of the 107th Infantry.”
"I'll settle the score with you later.”Philip glared at Cater.
"Please tell me he's still alive!”Steve said anxiously.
Philip stood up and took out the mourning letters one by one. He said,""I have signed too many mourning letters today, so many that I can't even count them. However, this name is very familiar.”
Steve was stunned. After a while, he asked,""What about the others? Are you going to rescue them?"
" They are thirty miles behind the front line. They have to pass through the most heavily guarded area in Europe. Rescuing them will only cause more casualties. I don't expect you to understand this because you are just a dancing clown.”Philip said bluntly.
"I understand very well," Steve said firmly.”
