The Great Tang stands shoulder to shoulder with the king

The young Li Changqing had crossed the Great Tang and become Li Yuan’s adopted son.

Li Yuan ascended the throne and conferred Li Changqing the title of Heavenly Strategy General. Crown Prince Li Jiancheng and King of Qi Li Yuanji launched the coup of Xuanwu Gate to assassinate Li Changqing, but they were beheaded instead.

The two hundred thousand Turkic soldiers had arrived at the city gates, and Li Shimin had signed the humiliating alliance at the Wei River. Li Changqing led 80,000 white-robed soldiers into the capital to help the king. They fought 3,000 miles and defeated the Turkic army. From then on, the south of the desert belonged to the Tang Dynasty, and the Turks did not dare to go south to herd horses.

Li Changqing’s achievements were so great that he was granted the title of King and shared the land with Li Shimin.
