The Woo Orphanage was an old orphanage in London.

This was a square building surrounded by high railings. The interior looked very old, but it was very clean and spotless.

The orphanage had been established for an unknown period of time. Although it had a long history, there was nothing else to praise. There were no famous businessmen, politicians, or scholars here, nor could it attract more donations or good people who came to adopt.

This was just an ordinary, dilapidated orphanage that was on the verge of bankruptcy. The manager, Mrs. Gerry, was just an ordinary old woman.

However, this orphanage had an extraordinary reputation on the other side of the world, in a society that mortals could not come into contact with. This reputation would probably be even more resounding from today on.

Today, June 11th, 1991, the orphanage welcomed a special guest.

"Dong dong dong-"

A knock on the door reached Mrs. Garry's ears.

Nestled in the recliner, she put down the needle and thread in her hand and hurried to the door.

"Who would come to visit such an old orphanage on such a rainy day?”

She was puzzled as she picked up an old black umbrella from the shelf at the door and opened it to walk towards the door.

Standing at the door was an old man. He was tall and thin, with long silver hair and a silver beard that reached his waist. Outside the robe, the old man was wearing a purple cloak and holding a dirty black umbrella. His robe was already soaked, and his half-moon glasses were full of water droplets.

Mrs. Garry was sixty, but she thought the old man was much older than she was, and surprisingly, the man who was old enough to be her father (in Mrs. Garry's opinion) looked much more energetic than she did, his beautiful blue eyes bright and lively.

" Oh, come on in." Mrs. Gerry fumbled for a large key from the key ring and opened the rusted gate of the orphanage with great effort." The weather has been terrible recently. The children's clothes have not dried for two days."”

" That's right," the old man agreed and followed Mrs. Gared into the main entrance of the orphanage. He looked around and a hint of nostalgia flashed in his eyes.

" This place hasn't changed at all. It's still so clean," he sighed.

" Of course." Mrs. Gerry took out a clean towel from the cabinet and handed it to the wet old man. She said proudly," This has always been the case here. Although we can't provide rich living conditions, we will do our best to give the children a good living environment. It has been like this since Mrs. Cole. Unfortunately, not many people will come to help us, and not many people will come to help these pitiful little ones.”As she spoke, the talkative old woman could not help but complain.

"Have you been here before? I don't seem to remember you." She was curious.

" Oh, that was many years ago," the old man recalled." It was about fifty-seven.. or fifty-eight years ago? I can't remember clearly. It was Mrs. Cole who received me back then. She provided me with a lot of help.”

"Then you're probably over 80 years old, right?”Mrs. Garry asked casually as she made tea for the guests.

" Believe me, I'm older than you think." The old man finally dried his beard and hair with a towel and started chatting with the lonely old woman.

After a while, the old woman who had satisfied her desire to chat finally remembered the important matter." Then, sir, you... Oh, I'm so rude. I actually forgot to ask for your name.”

"Arbus, Arbus Dumbledore," replied the old man."I am the headmaster of a private school, and I am here to find a boy named Ting Ye.”

" Oh, Ting Ye." At the mention of this name, the old woman's cloudy eyes seemed to brighten up." Little Ting Ye is the pride of our place. There is no child who is smarter and more sensible than him. I watched this child grow up. I have seen all kinds of mischievous and pitiful children. You know, this is my profession. However, I have never seen such a smart and sensible adult."”

Mrs. Garry's face revealed incomparable pride and joy. She kept introducing," Little Ting Ye can speak at the age of one. From then on, he never cried with us again. Whether he was hungry or bullied by the older children, he always tried his best to face them alone. Oh, he was really a strong child.”

Mrs. Garrett filled Dumbledore's cup with black tea and continued,"This child loves to read. From the moment he learned how to read, he learned to read. He reads newspapers, magazines, dictionary, novels…he reads everything. This child is smart and learns quickly. He can read the newspaper fluently at the age of three…"

As if she was introducing her proud grandson, the old lady took a long time to introduce the ten-year-old boy named Ting Ye. Dumbledore listened patiently, gradually gaining a basic impression of the child. Smart, sensible, studious, hardworking, kind, and so on. Although he knew that there was more or less the old woman's subjective bias, this impression was generally perfect.
