In fact, Ravenclaw wasn't on the team for the first Quidditch match of the term, but the rival Houses Gryffindor and Slytherin.
The day before the match, Harry Potter mysteriously found Ye Ting and Hermione in the library. He and Ron took the two of them to a corner.
"Do you know? I've just seen Snape at Filch's.”Harry whispered,"His leg is a bloody mess. It's obvious that he was bitten by something. I even overheard him mentioning something.'How can you stare at three heads at once?'”
Hermione looked puzzled. I don't understand why you brought us here-"
"He said 'three heads'!" Ron emphasized loudly,""You know, Harry and I were caught by Filch on a night outing once. It was that night that we entered the corridor that Professor Dumbledore had emphasized was off-limits, and guess what we saw?”
Obviously, because of Ye Ting, Ron and Hermione didn't have much contact, so there was no misunderstanding between the two of them like in the original novel. There was a big contradiction between them-except for the charms class on the day of the halloween.
Ron had provoked Hermione so badly that the prideful little girl had been left alone in the corridor in grief and had almost been killed by the troll. Although Hermione would not vent her anger on others, he had no good feelings for Ron since that day. Presumably, the original plot of "flowers stuck in cow dung" could not happen again.
Of course, Ron himself didn't know this.
Ron's impression of Hermione at the moment was that she was a good student who was too serious and difficult to get along with, but he did not dislike her.
And now, he was childishly keeping Hermione in suspense.
Clearly, he had underestimated Hermione.
"Are you referring to Cerberus? I know, there's one of them there. Is this what you're talking about when you say 'three heads'?”
"What? So you already knew.”Ron was a little disappointed that he had failed to show off his knowledge in front of the girls.
"Then, do you know what this means?”
said Harry, catching his breath.
"He's trying to get past that three-headed dog on Valentine's Day! He was going that way when we saw him-he was looking for the thing the dog was guarding! I'd bet my broomstick he let that troll in, to divert attention!”
It was obvious that Ye Ting wasn't the only one who had left the main team during the chaos. The Savior duo had also taken the opportunity to take a risk.
But Hermione did not believe it.
"No-he wouldn't," she said."I know he's not very nice, but he'd never steal from Dumbledore's stash.”
"Do you think so too?" Ron looked at Ye Ting expectantly.
To his disappointment, Ye Ting nodded in agreement.
"Snape may be gloomy, biased, petty, and doesn't wash his hair, but he's a passable Professor. He had accomplished a great deal in Potionology, and would never harm his students.”
"To be honest, you always think that all teachers are saints.”
said Ron brusquely."I agree with Harry. I think Snape is capable of anything. But what was he looking for? What is that big dog guarding?"
The four people's discussion ended in vain.
Hermione and Ye Ting, however, were grateful that Harry and Ron had taken the initiative to tell them all this-it was well known at Hogwarts that Ye Ting and Hermione had encountered trolls on the eve of the festival, and it was kind of Harry and Ron to take the risk to tell them that Snape might be the culprit.
Then Ron and Harry invited them to Harry's first Quidditch match.
……
Early the next morning, Ye Ting was brought to the court by the excited Zhang Qiu. The reason was to observe the opponent and gather information.
Hermione joined them, making little flags of lions to show her support.
In fact, she did not support Gryffindor, but because of Draco Malfoy's long-standing anti-Muggle remarks and his nonsense towards Ye Ting, Slytherin became the House she hated the most.
Ye Ting cast a spell on the small flag, and the lions on the flag moved. They walked back and forth uneasily in the flag and let out majestic roars from time to time.
Ron and a few Gryffindors who had arrived early came forward to see the flags, which they had bought for several Sickles.
"We'll make a few more for pocket money before the next Quidditch match.”Ye Ting whispered to Hermione, who nodded with a smile.
By eleven o'clock the whole school seemed to be in the stands around the Quidditch field. Many students even brought binoculars.
The seats were almost lifted into the air, but it was still difficult to see the game at times.
Madam Hooch, the flying instructor, was the Quidditch referee. She was standing in the middle of the field, her broomstick in hand, waiting for the teams to arrive.
"Listen, I want everyone to play fair and honest.”She said as soon as the team members gathered around her. Her words seemed to be directed at Marcus Flint, the captain of the Slytherin team and a sixth-year student. The Slytherin team had often resorted to dirty tricks in the game, and Flint was especially so.
Madam Hooch blew her silver whistle hard.
Fifteen broomsticks rose from the ground, high into the air. The match began.
