Aylwin wasn't surprised at all.
Harry had picked up a ball, and Professor McGonagall had pulled him onto the Gryffindor team.
Remembering that Cho might join the Quidditch team this year, Aylwin thought that joining the team would allow him to spend more time with Cho.
After all, the two of them were not in the same grade, and they usually did not meet in class.
Hence, he nodded.
"Of course, Professor. I'm very interested, but is this okay? I heard you can't join the Quidditch team in first years.”
"Don't worry, Mr. Gaunt, I'll take care of this.”
Professor Flitwick was very happy to hear Arvin's affirmative answer. He told Aylwin not to worry about anything else and left the rest to him.
Professor Flitwick stood up, jumped to the floor, and walked to a large box by the window.
Professor Flitwick opened the lock, bent down, took out a long package, and handed it to Aylwin.
"Professor, this is?"
Aylwin was confused.
"This is a Nimbus Two Thousand, the latest product of the year. It was sent to me by a student of mine who works as a designer at the Nimbus factory.”
"I was going to give him to Roger Davis to use, but I believe that you will be more suitable for him.”
Aylwin was speechless.
Professor McGonagall had bought one for Harry, but she had not expected Professor Flitwick to have a student give it to him.
Ravenclaw Academy was indeed worthy of its name. Although there were not many pure-blooded families, there were indeed many technical talents.
These people were all distributed in the backbone of the Magic World. Once they were activated, they would definitely have a considerable influence.
No wonder Slater New House had been so close to Gryffindor that Ravenclaw was not affected at all.
Aylwin took the Nimbus 2000 and held it in his arms.
"Thank you, Professor. I will make good use of it. Then when should I report?"
"Next Wednesday. Next Wednesday is the selection of the new batch of players. Go find Mr. Davis then. He will decide what position you will take.”
Professor Flitwick told Aylwin a time and asked him to leave.
Aylwin didn't delay and went back to the lounge with Nimbus 2000.
In the lounge, a group of young wizards gathered around Aylwin again.
Aylwin could only answer a few questions casually and send them away.
Cho also walked up from the side.
"What is this?"
Cho pointed at the package in Aylwin's hand and asked.
"Nimbus Two Thousand!"
"Professor Flitwick gave it to you?"
Cho's mouth fell open in surprise.
"Well, Professor Flitwick's asked me to join the Quidditch team, but I haven't settled on a spot yet.”
Cho looked even more surprised.
"Aren't first years not allowed to join the Quidditch team?”
"What's the big deal, Professor McGonagall called Harry into her office just now, I reckon he'll be joining the Gryffindor Quidditch team too.”
Aylwin didn't mind.
"I heard from Professor Flitwick that the selection is next Wednesday. Cho, do you want to join?”
"My aim this year, of course, is to become a Seeker for Ravenclaw.”
Cho's interest was piqued.
Seeing that Cho was so determined, Aylwin thought for a moment.
"Since the morning's over anyway, why don't we find a clearing and try out the Nimbus Two Thousand?”
"Can I?"
"Of course, it's just a broom."
Then Aylwin took Cho's hand and walked out.
"Let's go to the auditorium for lunch first, then we'll go to the Black Lake and try it.”
After the two of them finished their meal, they went to the Black Lake for special training. They watched the very happy Cho ride the Nimbus 2000 in the sky and complete all kinds of technical movements.
Aylwin decided to buy Cho a Nimbus 2000 for Christmas.
As for this one, it was given to him by Professor Flitwick, so it wouldn't be good for him to give it to him.
.....
In the following week, the academy returned to peace, and the first year young wizards gradually got on the right track. He had gradually adapted to life at Hogwarts.
The most obvious manifestation was the increase in homework.
One day in the library, Aylwin found Harry and Ron begging Hermione to lend them their Potions paper.
The old bat was not human. The three-foot-long paper he left behind had to be single-spaced.
But this didn't affect Aylwin. He had written many papers in his previous life, so he could easily deal with homework.
He had time to go to the Quidditch Trials with Cho. Both of them made it to the Quidditch team.
In the end, Aylwin chose the batsman. In his own words, the batsman could better protect Cho.
Cho just had to focus on catching the Snitch and leave the rest to him. He would protect Cho.
The little witch had never heard of such flowery words before, so she successfully let Aylwin cheat her of a kiss.
He also fed the other Quidditch players a mouthful of dog food.
