"Oh, you know Xiao Min?" said Lauren, as she put away the bags of groceries she had bought on her way home. Her office had been sent home early, and power problems made her customer support work impossible.

"Yeah, this is what I know about Yang Jiaqi.”Luo Chong said. "She introduced us."

"Yeah, she invited him to my New Year's party. Remember when we found Wayne sleeping in the bathroom?”Yang Jiaqi emphasized the last word.

Luo Chong looked at her. "Oh, right."

Lauren frowned. "Yes, I know. I really doubt you're hanging out with Yang Jiaqi's people, if they steal you like.”

"Yes, sorry, I need to use the restroom," Luo Chong said politely.”

He rushed to the bathroom, never so happy, talking about someone else's parents who had a lasting hard time in his life. It was leaked, but some of it was not enough. It was too troublesome. He flushed and poured out the condoms from the toilet bowl. He wiped himself with toilet paper, hoping that the smell would not be too strong. After cleaning up, he had been in the kitchen, where he re-examined Yang Jiaqi and Lauren, and it was decided that he would stay for dinner, scaring him and Yang Jiaqi's prospects.

"We have a lot of food. After being so useful, you should have a good meal.”Lauren insisted.

Therefore, Yang Jiaqi and Luo Chong were chased away to the living room while Lao Lun prepared dinner. After changing into a more casual pair of jeans and a T-shirt, Yang Jiaqi joined Luo Chong as he sat nervously in the living room. Yang Jiaqi struggled not to laugh too loudly because they were sitting together on the sofa, while Luo Chong was still frightened by what had almost happened. Winston lay between them to establish a natural barrier of chastity.

"What could be worse? She's walking at the intersection. Are you going to eat me, or are you going to f * cking eat me?”She pondered quietly.

"You are too evil." Luo Chong said, not believing in his luck. "I can't believe we were that careless.”

"Come on, we couldn't have predicted she'd come home early.”she replied, Winston's face kissing. "Did you get any work?" She said, in a baby's voice, in a confused pug,"Yes, it did."”she said, scratching his ear for his approval.

There was a squeeze of gravel and Winston began to bark, jumping from the sofa and charging towards the door. Yang Jiaqi's father came home from work. Luo Chong gulped it down and nervously looked at Yang Jiaqi, who was also nervous. She stood up and intercepted her father before he entered the living room.

"Hi, Daddy." she said. Her voice seemed to have shifted an octave and a half, making her sound younger.

"Hello, darling." The voice was deep and low.

Damn it, damn it, he sounded huge. Luo Chong felt nervous and rubbed his sweaty palms against his jeans. He had been Jenna's father to satisfy his incredible nervousness, but he had time to prepare. This happened without warning. Yang Jiaqi hugged her father and scolded him as he jumped up to fight for Winston's attention.

"Yes, Daddy." she said nervously. "I have a friend coming over."

"Oh, she's the one who joined us for dinner.”Luo Chong heard his reply.

"Well, yes, this is a him, Dad.”Yang Jiaqi replied.

Her father's thick eyebrows rose. "Really?" he asked suspiciously.

"Yeah, you know Luo Chong? Who was this guy who drove me to my interview today?”Yang Jiaqi said.

The conversation continued. Yang Jiaqi wanted to say something that would make her father tend to like Luo Chong, while he took off his work boots and heavy winter jacket. Luo Chong could hear rumbling sounds from the living room, although they were speaking softly, he could not make out the words. " I should introduce myself," Luo Chong thought." I shouldn't hide like a coward." Therefore, he took a deep breath and braced himself for the worst. He stood up from the sofa and entered the small corridor leading to the door.

He was the average height of a man, with thick arms and shoulders. His curly black hair was slightly receding in the temple, dotted with gray. Opening Luo Chong's black eyes, he walked up the first step from his seat.

"Hello, sir. I am Luo Chong.”Luo Chong greeted. He reached out his hand.

Yang Jiaqi's father sized him up for a moment, his eyes filled with distrust. He grabbed Luo Chong's hand and shook it, squeezing it slightly harder than necessary, but Luo Chong did not show any reaction.

"Yang Ji." He told him.

He let go of Luo Chong's hand and turned around to Yang Jiaqi.

"What's for dinner?" he asked.

After Yang Ji mostly ignored Luo Chong, he wasn't sure if it was a good or bad thing. He talked about Yang Jiaqi and reluctantly even looked at Luo Chong. Yang Ji joined his wife in the kitchen, while Yang Jiaqi and Luo Chong sat down in the living room. Yang Jiaqi smiled.

"He likes you." she said.

"What is it? Can you tell us?" he asked.

"He'll tell you to go home if he doesn't.”she said.

Luo Chong relaxed. "He seemed largely indifferent.”

"I told him you were a friend.”Yang Jiaqi explained. "He's in incomplete protection mode, but not yet.”

This was great. Luo Chong felt that this was his goodwill. I don't know what it was like when he tried to scare him. Luo Chong was rarely intimidated by other people, old or young, but the edge of Yangji Maclean, he said, he only saw Yang Jiaqi in diluted form.

"Yang Jiaqi got you and your friend here, it's time to eat.”Yang Ji shouted from the kitchen.

The two of them got up and Yang Jiaqi and Luo Chong led to the kitchen table, the same watch about an hour ago, she had been leaning over Luo Chong more and more. Dinner began clumsily as Yang Jiaqi recounted what had happened during her interview. Yang Ji cursed her luck in a colorful language and earned himself a condemnation from Lauren.

Luo Chong didn't use it for family dinners. Except for special occasions, his parents came home late at different times, so dinner was always a " take care of yourself " scene. It was obvious that they ate every night as a family in McClint's residence.

"Then what about you?" Yang Ji asked.

"I'm at school now." Luo Chong said. "I don't have a job. I saved Fletcher last summer.”

Yang Jiaqi looked on in surprise. Fletcher hired summer students to earn money. This was very hard work, but paid extremely well around the notorious town. Yang Ji seemed very happy when he heard that.

"What are you doing?" he asked.

"Minor in electrical engineering and computer science.”Luo Chong replied.

Yang Ji raised his eyebrows." An irritable guy, right?”

"Luo Chong's application program." Yang Jiaqi interrupted.

"An application?" Yang Ji asked.

"An application, the software engineering on the phone is like a small piece.”Luo Chong explained.

Yang Ji nodded. "What is it?"

Through the false start, exactly what he described, Mickey, Kevin built. It was an amalgamation of multiple Social networks, a kind of " one-stop shop " that combined many different user profiles and accounts. There were more of them, like the application itself built on Social networks, especially the chat component, which allowed a lot of privacy and practicality, but didn't care about Luo Chong's further explanation.

"So, what if people use it?" Yang Ji asked.

"No, I haven't." Luo Chong replied. "It will be free to use, advertising revenue will be used to fund, it will be how we make our money, and we are also looking for 'freemium' options, where people unlock additional features if they want.”

"What are you doing?" he asked.

" I came up with the concept and design of the interface, which is the most difficult part of my job, because when you try to combine so many things, it often becomes a burden," Luo Chong said. He was surprised to see that Yang Ji was actually interested.

There weren't many people. His father thought it was a stupid risk, and cited the fact that the market for such applications was already saturated, but then again, his father didn't want him to become an engineer. Luo Chong should have gone to school to be an accountant and then get an NBA. He would have despised him, but his heart was something his father once had. They had vehemently opposed it before, and now it was no time to mention the school or anything to quarrel with them.

Yang Ji asked a lot of questions, proving that he had a shrewd mind, even if he didn't fully understand the industry. Luo Chong replied that it was effective. Soon, the two of them led the dinner conversation. Yang Jiaqi was unusually calm throughout the meal, watching Luo Chong charm her father. She helped Lauren clear the dishes while the two of them continued their conversation.

It was finally time for it to leave for Luo Chong and follow him to the door with Yang Ji.

"You have already gotten a good head on your shoulders. I think you and your friends will do well.”He told him.

"Thank you, Mr. Leader." Luo Chong replied.

"Luo Chong. Yang Ji, Yang Ji called me." He insisted.

Luo Chong grinned. "Yes, Yang Ji."

"Are you leaving?" Yang Jiaqi asked as she appeared beside her father.

"Yes, I am." Luo Chong said. "Thank you for dinner, it was great.”

"Good night." Yang Jiaqi said.

"Good night." Yang Ji said.

Luo Chong said goodbye, left, and Yang Ji closed the door behind him.

"Are you dating him?" Yang Ji asked Yang Jiaqi.

"What?" Yang Jiaqi said," No, Dad, he's just…"

Her father grinned. "Yes, a friend. He's a very good friend. I like him.”

Yang Jiaqi looked into the distance shyly. Her father never liked her to bring home guys to satisfy him. In fact, when he approved of Luo Chong, she was so uncertain about her relationship with him that it didn't help her to have any confusion about what they were doing to each other. Only time would tell Luo Chong that such a great guy really existed.

When Luo Chong got home, it was nine o'clock. It was rare for his parents to call him home, but he had to go to his room, where he found his mother reading. In a large leather armchair, she sat on the soft chair with her feet. A glass of amber liquid was placed on the table beside her.

"Hello," Luo Chong said.

" A beautiful day at school?" she asked.

"Yes." he replied. "A good day's work?"

"It doesn't matter." she replied, turning her attention back to her book.

She was obsessed with reading novels, and reading was her main source of entertainment.

"Is Daddy home?" he asked.

"He's in his office." His mother told him.
