One incense stick of time earlier...

“Armament Haki!” A red-haired player confidently activated his “Armament Haki” technique to block the War Camel Beast's desperate final strike. Though flung over ten meters, he brushed the dust off himself, barely injured.

“We got another one,” said another player clad in a beast-hide jacket, grinning as he began expertly tying up the War Camel Beast's corpse to haul it back to the sect.

“Whiz!”

A sharp whistling sound pierced the air. Before the red-haired player could react, a bone spear shot out, impaling his shoulder and pinning him to a tree.

“Who's there?!”

The beast-hide player whirled around in alarm. His eyes widened as he spotted seven or eight strange figures approaching.

Covered in scales, their faces were vaguely humanoid but more fish-like, complete with gills on their cheeks. They looked like humanoid fish warriors, clad in scale-like armor and armed with bone spears.

“What the hell are these things?” the two players exclaimed, dumbfounded.

“Humans still dare venture here… heh, kill them all!”

The leader of the fish warriors rasped out a command. With a wave of his hand, the others surrounded the two bewildered players and attacked.

“Armament Haki!”

The beast-hide player tried to shield himself with his technique, but the bone spear pierced right through, stabbing into his heart and killing him instantly.

“Who are you?!” the red-haired player shouted.

These fish-like beings were not only powerful but also spoke their language?

“We are the noble Sea Tribe! And you filthy, lowly humans… will die!”

The fishman leader sneered, raising his bone spear.

“No! I don't want to die!” The red-haired player yanked the spear from his shoulder and turned to flee.

He knew all too well that dying would reset his cultivation to zero, forcing him to start over from scratch.

“Water Manipulation!”

The fishman leader murmured softly, and water materialized out of thin air, forming a rushing stream that swept the fleeing player off his feet and into its depths.

“Where the hell did this water come from? Wasn't this solid ground just now?!” sputtered the player, struggling to keep his head above the unexpected torrent.

“Die!”

Stepping lightly across the water's surface, the fishman leader reached him with ease, plunging his spear through the player's head.

“These humans are weaklings!”

“Hahaha, even weaker than our Sea Tribe hatchlings!”

“Captain, there are more humans nearby. Let's hunt them down!”

The other fish warriors jeered and laughed, their bloodlust rising.

“Of course. These filthy humans dare to reclaim this land that belongs to our Sea Tribe? We'll kill them all—no, we'll devour them!”

The fishman leader's face twisted into a cruel grin. “I've never tasted human meat before.”

Soon, the players hunting War Camel Beasts found themselves ambushed by the fish warriors. Almost every single one was wiped out.

The “Armament Haki” technique failed to block the fishmen's bone spears, and their attempts to escape were thwarted by sudden floods of water conjured out of nowhere.

The red-haired player was among the first to respawn at the revival hall. He immediately rushed to inform He Yiming of what had happened.

“Fishmen? Sea Tribe?”

He Yiming's expression darkened.

Although he had never encountered the Sea Tribe before, he remembered studying them in the Haotian Academy's archives.

The Sea Tribe primarily lived in the deep oceans but would occasionally appear near coastal regions. They were notorious enemies of humanity, often launching raids on human settlements. Ruthless and bloodthirsty, they especially relished devouring human cultivators.

“All disciples, assemble immediately!”

He Yiming didn't hesitate to summon every player to the sect square.

“The Sea Tribe has appeared. Until I return, no one is to leave the sect. Stay within its protective boundaries to avoid falling prey to their ambushes.”

He Yiming delivered his warning before leaping off toward the mountain base.

“What?! The Sea Tribe?”

“Is this a new storyline event? A new race?”

“We can't miss this! I want to watch Boss Yiming take them down!”

The players were buzzing with excitement. Forget the danger; they swarmed behind He Yiming in droves, eager to witness the action firsthand.

“These human cultivators are so pathetic!”

“Right? They're like frightened sheep, not even worth calling warriors!”

“With these useless disciples, their sect leader can't be much stronger. Let's storm their mountain and slaughter them all!”

The fish warriors continued their rampage, growing increasingly bold after annihilating several more players.

Their leader sneered, his earlier concerns now replaced with scorn. “Clearly, our elders were wrong. Humans aren't cunning or dangerous. The truth is simple—our Sea Tribe is just too strong!”

“Follow me! We'll destroy their sect and feast on their corpses!”

The fishman leader let out a vicious laugh as he led his warriors toward the mountain.

“Oh? Destroy whose sect, did you say?”

A calm, icy voice interrupted them.

Descending gracefully from the sky, He Yiming landed directly in their path, his expression utterly composed.
